Help & Site Information

      Last modified 18.04.2001

This site has been designed to be viewed in the more recent versions of Internet Explorer  at a resolution of  800 x 600. If you are using another browser, or a different resolution, then you may find some displacement in the layout or it could be too wide for your screen. In some cases text can become so small  that it cannot be read comfortably. Such problems can be overcome without too much difficulty but, since it is not possible to test the site in all possible formats, appropriate feedback is needed. The name of your browser, its version, and the screen resolution you normally use, would be the information required.

The site has been prepared using HTML code in its simplest form. There are no bells, whistles, or gimmicks. There are a number of reasons for this, the main one being that the site can be updated quickly and easily by anyone who can read a manual. It also makes it quicker for viewers to download and it takes up less room on the server, enabling us to get more content on the site without incurring hosting costs.

If you have any problems (or you want bells and whistles) let us know. It is your site.

Help Notes

For those who use Internet Explorer. The suggestions may work in other browsers but this is not guaranteed.

If you wish to download a photograph to your computer, right click on the photograph and select the option "Save Picture As". This will work on most websites although a few are blocked if copyright is thought to be important.
Photographs displayed on this site are usually reduced both in size and resolution to to speed up download times and to save space on the server. Higher quality versions can usually be provided on request.
You may save any page to read off-line by using the "Save As" feature in the "File" menu. This will also save any components, such as photographs, which are used by the page. The result can then be opened and viewed in Internet Explorer.
You can also save the whole site to read off-line if desired. This takes much longer, is more complicated, and tends to be a bit "hit or miss". However, details are available if required.

Have you seen a real professional on the net? His fingers are never far from the keyboard and at times the mouse seems like an optional extra. You might like to try some of the more helpful keys.
